Badgers place emphasis on youth

Following an end of season review, Brocton have chosen to amend their playing structure for 2023/2024.

The past season has been one of significant success, and the club are determined to build on that, not only for next season, but for many seasons to come. One of the undoubted highlights was the emergence of the Under 18 side, eight of whom played a key role in the success of the first team. This success has encouraged the club to have a second Under 18 squad, playing on Saturdays in the Midland Junior Premier League. This will, in effect, replace the Under 21 side and we have accordingly resigned from the Midland Football league. The success of the Under 18 side had a detrimental effect on the Under 21 team last season with so many of the potential squad, travelling with the first team. The club wishes to thank Aran Hickey for his time at the club and we wish him well in his future football endeavours. Nick Partou has been offered a roll within the first team structure and we are delighted that he has chosen to continue with the Badgers.

For season 2023/24, the teams under the Brocton banner are as follows:-

First Team – North West Counties Football League First Division South
