There are just two games left at Silkmore Lane this season with a cup final this evening and an Under 21 game tomorrow morning. Once these are completed both of our pitches will be closed for renovation.
With the intensity of matches (5 already this week), the dodgy weather and holidays, the Brocton FC volunteers have been fully stretched in producing top quality surfaces over the last week or so and accommodating some large crowds.
A big thank you to the team of volunteers who have been doing a range of jobs - pitch preparation, cleaning, car parking, Manning refreshments, bar, hospitality, gate duties, crowd assistance and control. It takes a lot of effort to create a Brocton matchday and this could not be done without such a group of dedicated volunteers. Additional volunteers would be more than welcome!
