Press Release : League Restart

Following a Football Association restructure to the non-league game below Step 4, Brocton Football Club can confirm that they have been laterally moved from the Midland Football League Division 1 to the North West Counties Football League First Division South.

This movement was not something that the club would have chosen however everyone involved with the club is excited for the season ahead. The league promises a couple of spicy local derbies against Stafford Town and Eccleshall as well as pitting our wits against new clubs across the North West including the prospect of a trip to FC Isle of Man.

We look forward to making new friends on our travels and providing a warm welcome at Silkmore Lane.

We finished just outside the places available for upward movement in the restructure and we are keen to push on in our new surroundings. We have a young and hungry squad who are looking forward to making an impact when the season commences.

The league season is due to start on Saturday July 31st.

Pre-season friendlies commence on Saturday July 3rd at home to Chasetown and all are welcome.
