Ben Douglas' Under 18 team have won the Staffs FA Midweek Floodlit Youth Cup after a dramatic final at Chasetown FC on Monday.
After 90 minutes of to and fro, the game ended goalless. Penalty shootouts are always tense but this one seemed to go on forever. Both sides had one penalty saved as the shoot out went to sudden death. The penalties continued to find the back of the net. Cometh the hour, cometh the man and Jonty Kearns saved the 18th penalty of the shoot out to see the Badgers home 8-7. A tremendous achievement for all concerned in their first season. The league title can be clinched next Monday when they travel to Tipton Town
